Jiu-Jitsu

Muay-Thai

Wrestling
Wrestling is one of the oldest combat sports in the world, focusing on takedowns, clinch work, and control on the ground. It builds strength, explosiveness, and body control, and is a core component of MMA. Our wrestling training sharpens both offensive and defensive grappling skills, making it ideal for all levels.
Mixed Martial Arts
MMA is a full-contact combat sport that blends techniques from various martial arts, including striking and grappling. It combines elements of boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, and Jiu-Jitsu, offering a complete system for both self-defense and competition. At Sparta MMA, we teach MMA as a philosophy and discipline—developing not only the body, but also the mind and character.
About Sparta MMA
Founded in England in 2005 by Polish martial artist and head coach Adam Urbański, Sparta MMA has grown into a respected academy dedicated to the philosophy and discipline of Mixed Martial Arts.
In 2022, Adam expanded his vision by moving to Cyprus, where he continues to teach and develop the next generation of fighters and martial arts enthusiasts. Meanwhile, Doni Dovla has taken on the role of head coach at Sparta MMA UK – Bexhill, ensuring the academy’s legacy of excellence remains strong in the UK.
At Sparta MMA, we emphasize a holistic approach to combat sports, combining wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Luta Livre, boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai. Our training goes beyond physical technique—we instill discipline, mental resilience, and respect, shaping well-rounded martial artists both in and out of the gym.
Over the past 20 years, Sparta MMA has produced hundreds of athletes who have competed at the highest levels in MMA, grappling, and boxing organizations worldwide. Beyond competition, many of our students train to achieve personal fitness goals, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills in self-defense and personal growth.

Sparta MMA is a mixed martial arts academy founded in 2005, dedicated to training athletes and individuals in various combat sports, including wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Luta Livre, boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai.
We currently have two locations:
Sparta MMA UK – Bexhill, led by Head Coach Doni Dovla.
Sparta MMA Cyprus, in Paraklishia, led by Founder and Head Coach Adam Urbański.
No experience is necessary! Our programs cater to all levels, from beginners to professional fighters. Our coaches will guide you based on your skill level and goals.
We offer training for both kids and adults. Specific class schedules and age groups may vary by location, so please contact us for details.

Absolutely! Many of our students train for fitness, self-defense, or personal development. Competition is optional but encouraged for those who wish to test their skills.
For your first session, wear comfortable sportswear (T-shirts, shorts, or leggings). If you have boxing gloves, shin guards, or grappling gear, feel free to bring them. Otherwise, we’ll guide you on the necessary equipment as you progress.
